Discover
Where you find the worlds and scenarios that are ready to play. Your first story starts here.
Protagonists
Before a story starts, you pick who you are from the characters the scenario offers. See more on the page Choosing a persona.
Play
You write what your character does, says or thinks, or just describe the scene. The AI answers as a character from the world or as the narrator.
Suggested replies
After each reply the app offers three things your character could say next. Tap one, or write your own.
Fixing a turn
Edit or delete a message, regenerate a reply, or rewind the story to an earlier point. Steering the story shows when to use which.
Continue playing
Your stories are on Home under Continue Playing and in the Stories tab, and they save after every message.

Cover imagesComing soon
Pick a picture for a world, a character, a place or a scenario.
Path to playableComing soon
A checklist on the edit screen of a world, a character or a scenario that says what is still missing before someone can play. See Path to playable.
Edit and deleteComing soon
Everything you made can be changed later, or deleted. Deleting a world takes its scenarios, characters and places with it.
Sign in
With Apple, with Google, or with an email address. You pick a nickname and a handle. Get the app walks through it.
Delete your account
It is in Settings. It removes everything you made, your worlds, scenarios, characters, places and stories, and it cannot be undone.
This is the order we expect to build them in, and the order can change.
Stories that grow as you playComing soon
New characters and places turn up in the middle of a story, characters remember, and a codex keeps track of them. The codex belongs to the story, so two stories in the same world each keep their own. Today a story plays with the characters and places its world had when it started. See How memory works for what a story remembers now.
Your own personaComing soon
A character that is yours, with a name and a face, to play in any world instead of the protagonists on offer. Today you play one of the protagonists the scenario's author chose. See Personas.
Your usage and limitsComing soon
The app will show how much of your play limits you have used and when they reset. The limits already apply today, but the app does not show them yet. See Is Narratica free?
Publishing worldsComing soon
Make a world you built public, and others can find it in Discover and play it. Today everything you create is private, and Discover shows only the worlds our team made. See Private and public.
Profiles, and people to followComing soon
See what other players have made public, like it, follow them, and search Discover for players and worlds. The heart on a card starts counting then. Today nobody can open your profile by your handle.
We cannot say exactly when each of these will be in the app. New things are announced on Discord.
These are not on the roadmap today. If one of them comes back, it will be on this page first.
